Japan4Life, the flip side of this, he gets to retire as a Mariner, as he should. And don’t think for a second that he’s not getting a pay day out of this. Business is business.

@j4l--what is the objective of sports entertainment biz if not selling tix and stuff? Ichiro and Kikuchi make the team, interest spikes, tix sell like crazy, and MLB can justify flying two teams to Japan.

Love Ichiro but shame on the Mariners for allowing him to play in Japan in order to sell tickets but once they leave Japan he will be on the bench or in the Minor Leagues.
