Maybe he's just tired from drinking/advertising all of that beer?

Wonder if him sitting out is really just a passive agressive way of getting back at his inferior, jealous, trash-talking teammates. I really doubt it, since Ichiro is such a Pro. But then again its not like him to sit out games due to fatigue.

He needs to drink Yunker!

The WBC is hurting M.L.B. The smart players skipped it.

Altria: Yunker should terminate Ichiro's ad contract if they dont want to lose business. I think his fatigue is age-related and for that there is no cure.

I think he's a lazy get. You wouldn't get many Japanese sararimen trying to get away with that one...get a genki drink down you, and blunder through your job badly in a half-arsed, baffled way, like everybody else.

HAHAHAHAHAhahahaha!!!! So Ichiro is yet ANOTHER person who participated in the WBC who is not up to par at the start of the MLB!! Interestingly -- though he wouldn't have been chosen anyway -- Matsui didn't take part in the WBC and has been doing amazingly so far this season with two homeruns already.

This is all the more reason that other teams are going to continue not to take the WBC seriously, and focus solely on the MLB. The American players must be happy they didn't bother to field their best.

Old Ichiro is not very pro after all, if he puts the WBC and his own arrogance before the team, and his multi-million dollar contract. Now he's too tired out and the season has just begun. There has been a lot of trash-talking and infighting with his teammates, but part of that is his superior attitude and always insisting on doing things apart from his team. Regardless, his record has bombed lately, and this isn't helping.

Sorry to laugh, but people said this could happen.

"He said he's tired"

I told my boss I'm tired, and he just laughed and said "Get to work or you're fired."
