Leitch fears Japan failing to build on World Cup heroics

I wouldn't mind at all if Team Japan lost all the rugby matches in the years ahead as long as those players stay healthy and well, but this guy obviously feels different.

Since winning in sports has always been overrated, most people have forgotten the true purpose of engaging in athletic activities, which is to be healthy and have fun through exercising.

It is interesting to see that people have different priorities.

Try telling that to the IOC. Spectator sports is all about winning as it spins $$$. Participation is just a by product.

I agree with you 100 percent. Interestingly, people thinking like us seem to be in the minority.

"I don't know how else we are going to develop good Japanese players."

TRANSLATION: I don't know how we are going to continue milking the sponsors.
