“All people are equal” except in this case. Someone shouldn’t be discriminated against, if they happened to have been born as they were. imho

I have sympathy too. But Caster was born with a Y chromosome, so is genetically male. Also born with undescended testes, and without ovaries. Not female by any standard definition.

the IAAF has tested and confirmed she was female! That's it.

If she was white from Europe this despicable treatment would never have happened.

Semenya's testosterone level is 20 times that expected in a female. But is just within range of normal for a male...

AFAIK the IAAF never released results on the tests other than T.

Race is irrelevant. Fairness in competition is.

If a person has a Y chromosome they are not female - that’s just science. The modern phenomenon of feelings and ideology over facts is leading people to the confused conclusions that we see in this case. Semenya is one of a very small number of people that have male chromosomes but with underdeveloped male organs.

If as human beings we come to believe that sex is on a “continuum” then we would be best served by eliminating the current binary practice of segregated competitions based on sex. Doing so would allow Semenya and other chromosomanally male athletes to one day deprive woman of their place in elite athletics altogether.

I do have sympathy Semenya’s situation but unless some separate division could be made for similar athletes females will be deprived of opportunities to compete at all.

Is a person has female genitalia and no visible male genitalia, they are female, She can carry and deliver a baby. She cannot produce sperm. Can you name any males that can deliver babies thru their vijayjay or pee hole? Micheal Phelps had all kinds of biometric advantages over most "normal" athletes. No one suggested surgery to correct his doublejointedness in the interests of fairness. They celebrated his uniqness and gave him how many medals?

Simon, Semenya has neither ovaries nor a uterus according to medical reports. Makes pregnancy problematic, don't you think?

We are beyond talking about simple physical advantages here. Caster is fundamentally different at the genetic level from the others.
