Now is a good time for the IOC to come down hard on China.
Supporting China with all of its Human Rights Abuses, Military Posturing and Threats
is not Globally Acceptable.

OMG what the hell is up with this fool bach!!!!!
Look we ALL know NK had more than covid as a reason not to come BUT it was a real VALID reason to take a pass, clearly after whats happened & still happening here!!
Now back to bach, I have a question for you ""tough guy"" WHY didnt you do the same to CANADA when they said they werent coming to Japan for 2020!!!! Ok bach explain what happened to your NADS back in Mar 2020, I am sure I am not the only one interested in your reply!!!! Come you can do it, well actually not likely!
And yeah as another pointed out CLEARLY the ioc is getting political with NK, if you are going to do that ioc the do it with regards to CHINA!!!
Yeah right all I hear is the crickets, the ioc should be disbanded!!!

North Korea look like Santa Claus compared to what Chiba does.

World Emperor Bacha has declared and we must listen. His wallet lost of ad revenue from Tokyo so he needs to get that back anyway he can. What hotel and how much per night in Beijingu?

Since when has a country not attending the Olympic games been a breach of any "rules".
The world is changing. Once democratic governments are becoming increasingly authoritarian. The IOC sees the way clear to follow suit.

North Korea thumbs their noses at the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency. I really don't see them giving a hoot about anything the International Olymic Committee has to say about them.

Yet more proof that the IOC is a childish, petty, money-hungry, self-important dictatorship.
"We're doing it for the athletes" in one breath, "Screw you, you wanted to be safe instead of playing my silly games, you're not coming to my next party" in the other.
The IOC should be cut off, all olympics should be disbanded. It's an archaic tradition and needs to die in thee name of progress.

4 Feb 2022 is just around the corner. I am sure DPRK will not want to send their teams to China, for the very same health reasons. Win-win.

Suspended for not sedning athletes due to safety concerns? This may actually be the first time I feel sorry for NK. IOC is not showing much regard for life and the health of people. It's actually forcing people to attend events which could be super-spreader events?
shogun36
So I guess it’s not all about fun, games and peace.
Its countries being forced to join or pay heavy fines?
What is this?
Should be interesting to see if NK even gives a crap about it.

.
NK does have the right to protect its people from covid.
Pitty the NK people can not be protected from Kim.

More millions he can put towards his pay check.

.
More likely taking care of his own multi-million pay check. No olympics = no over inflated pay check for him.

North Korea did the responsible thing in the circumstances. A pity the other nations didnt skip this Olympics too.
oldman_13
Meh, that doesn't mean they won't allow individual North Korean athletes to compete, like they did with Russia.

Since when do the IOC pay countries or owe money to them?
And when have countries been penalized in subsequent Olympics for not sending a team? No teams were punished for boycotting the Moscow Games in 1980. It's mandatory?
snowymountainhell
Ok, then. In that regards, what will the IOC do about China’s alleged human rights violations?
Oh!? Your opinion ‘rules’ change. - Looks like You will just bow and kowtow to THAT host country:
snowymountainhell
Thank you IOC for saving humanity once again from the perils of countries that don’t abide by Your rules.
