Ioka beats Yaegashi in unification bout

I watched this last night - I thought it was a fantastic fight.

No complaints with the judges' scores although I thought Yaegashi had won a round or two more.

Such courage from Yaegashi to keep going despite his left eye being almost completely swollen, and his right swelling too. He fought such a brave fight against a technically superior fighter. Just a shame he couldn't find the knockdown he needed - he even rocked Ioka a bit in the 12th round.

I love boxing, but I find it hard to watch < 48 kg guys trying to fight.

Probably because you don't love boxing enough, the small guys don't gas after two rounds and produce the most technical fights.
