Podium kisses as part of the ceremony? This discrimination shouldn't be tolerated, Smells like 1932.

'Boys living with women' doesn't sound 'normal' to me - in fact, where I come from, unless it's your mum, it's illegal!

It's important to respect and observe the laws of the you visit, whether you agree with them or not, as you are a guest. It's no different than if a guest who smokes lights up a cigar in your non-smoking house.

If Russia is not tolerant and accepting of people from all backrounds and orientations - what the heck are they doing hosting an international sports event? They are obviously still in the dark-ages with regards to human-rights. Kudos to the Swedish athletes over in Moscow for their little protest which apparently has upset the bigots like Isinbayeva.

There's also a question of what Russian authorities do or do not consider "propaganda." Publicly holding hands? Kissing? Wearing a rainbow flag patch or pin on one's clothing?
Burakumin Des, all nations have their elements of intolerance; that in itself is no reason to withhold or move the Olympics. But when that intolerance is codified into law, that's a different matter.

If Isinbayeva had spoke in her native language I doubt there would have been as much hoohah about what was said.

Remember when athletes respected the apartheid laws in S.A.?
