Wherever there is an event, Olympics or not, that involves rewarding people in rank based on others' judgment, there is going to be bias, and we'll see this in the next winter Olympics in SK, without a doubt. That said, though...

"Media and experts pointed out that one of the nine judges was a Ukrainian who was suspended for a year for his involvement in a fixing scandal at the 1998 Nagano Olympics ice dancing competition. Another judge is married to the head of the Russian skating federation."

How were these people allowed to be judges? especially the person proven of match-fixing?? It does sound a bit dodgy, and given that Kim was flawless...

So, what would've happened if Kim actually Won the Gold?

Would South Korea still do the right thing and still site the 2 Judges that should've recused themselves from judging the competition due to their questionable history of corrupt and bias judging?

I think not.

Actually Kim should've never have had a Gold Medal (in my opinion) to begin with. She didn't break any Olympic World Records like Mao Asada did in Vancouver did she?

Kim - You got trumped by a Russian in Russia.

Besides, If anyone had any misjudgment placed upon them, then it was Mao Asada in Vancouver . She should've been the one awarded the Gold Medal. Of course she never complained about because she's got more class than that.

The only way judging the results can ever be changed is if the Russian Skater was is found to have bern doping before the competition.

Enjoy your Silver Medal Kim - now you know how Mao felt wen she got trumped over you for her deserved Gold Medal in Vacouver.

@Saketown, we must have watched two different versions in 2010. For those two days I thought that Kim was clearly the better skater. I'm sure she will enjoy her Silver Medal, it will be right next to her Gold Medal. And Kim seemed to take it in stride, not that embarrassing wimpering on the podium like we saw from Mao in Vancouver.
