Omedeto Iwakuma san (notice the NO u at the end of omedeto) ... Great pitched game!

Well done, my man. I'm proud of you.

Going to a baseball game is so expensive. To see a no hitter is like watching a dryer spin with no clothes in it. I will ask Nomo's son what he thinks about a challenge to his father's record. Will ask dad in September when I see him.

What point are you making there Kitz? A transliteration from the original Japanese would indeed properly have a 'u' at the end.

His shuuto was on! Congratulations 'Kuma san!

In Japanese yes, but in romaji, it is not necessary and added baggage. I know a pro golfer named Komei Oda. He writes Koumei Oda on his golf bag and foreigner announcers him as 'cowmei'.

Iwakuma has always been highly underrated and went to the U.S. the same time as Darvish. This is a contract year for him so this will make his case next year and he will get a good contract next year hopefully with a better team.
