I wonder how much he’s getting paid ?
Whatever it is, I’m sure it’s for his name off the field more than his contribution on the field.

Saw him play against Gifu FC a couple of years ago.
He came on the pitch for 10 -15 minutes but didn't really have much to do.
He is more of a mascot and fan draw rather than an effective attacking force now.
Still the king though!

It has become a “ sad clown” story and he only has himself to blame. Lots of respect for this until his mid 40’s but a great champion knows also when it is time for “ curtains”. I created YFC and I think this is now bad for the team also.
Kazu San has gone from King to jester of the court. For his own sake and legacy he must be told that it is enough. More than enough. Even as a marketing ploy, it does not produce the goods anymore. Real friends must now tell him to retire. He can serve football further and better in many other potential ways.

Great job, King Kazu! Him not making the 1998 WC squad was a tremendous crime.
