Japan has been attractive to overseas players for some time because it has offered high salaries, a relatively short season and, for some, a style of rugby which has been less physical than most professional leagues.

In short...... EASY MONEY!

An NFL player would get the ball and streak down the side for a score

Could they tackle a 110kg Tongan winger charging at them? Or kick the ball 50m to get out of trouble? Much different skill sets needed.

Not a problem tackling; Netane Muti is a 143kg Tongan playing in the NFL, who played rugby in Tonga, so I assume he would have no problem tackling someone 110kg. There are quartertbacks in the NFL who weigh more than 110kg. And there are many players with world class speed.

Different game.

Yes but they would need to stop the game and have a rest every 30 seconds.

Comparing rugby and football is like comparing rugby and football. They are different sports. Let it go.

Because they are not running at 70% of full speed the whole game.
