To all those posters in the past that harped on JT to cover this event- congrats to you ! Now on with some predictions. I've watched ths LLWS from the start- obviously the team to beat is Chinese Taipei. Much like Japan, they look like "all" they do is play baseball- year 'round ! The difference though is the size. The Chinese Taipei players look like they've been fed a steady diet of American beef ! Tall, muscular, fast- scoring 18 and 23 runs in their first two games ! They play "Chile" today- a team so woeful that they lost to (smirk) "Canada" 4-2 ! My prediction- Chinese Taipei in the final against Texas with the kids from Asia winning in dominating fashion- then being subject to age verification exams !

And like I said- Chinese Taipei all over Panama to reach the International Final against Japan. Should be interesting to watch both nations with similar attitudes towards sports have a go at each other. Japan has the advantage going in as they scouted Taipei in todays game... I don't believe it will be enough. Taipei and Texas in your final... may the biggest "T" win !

Only if they trained in the US, since Taiwanm like SK and Japan also has a partial ban on US beef...

Weak attempt there kwaabish... "partial ban" does not mean "complete" ! That would be Japan you are thinking of... after all them bouts of foot and mouth disease !

Branded even turns a LLWS topic into an American beef and anti-Japan topic. But hey, if that's what you like to do....have fun.

"American beef and anti-Japan topic."

Poor comprehension skills at work- I thought I was propping the team from Chinese Taipei... and having fun doing it !

So, if you are not anti-Japan, I guess that means you are pro-Japan. In any case, nice to see Little Leaguers play their hearts out, before dollar signs start to warp their minds, bloating many of their egos and persuading some to turn to steroids.

"persuading some to turn to steroids"

You mean like that bloated beachball Kiyohara ?

Why would you care ? In terms of little league baseball I am pretty much "nuetral" Japan. The fact that the Japanese kids play one sport year around grates on this observer. The American kids will be playing football, basketball, or soccer- not the J kids- nothing but baseball ! That gives them a huge advantage in the tournement- but it does little to create well rounded individuals. I would like to see little league submit new regulations for the off season- no organized baseball practices of any kind for 8 months after the season is over. Then lets see how good the Japanese players are.

Well- there ya go ! Texas is in the US final after beating Washington 7-5. Tonights game, Hawaii vrs Georgia should be a dogfight- I like Georgia in this one... many of the Hawaii kids are already talking about getting ready for football practice ! A Georgia-Texas final should be a classic- either team can win it but I think Texas has the long ball hitters dialing in at just about the right time.

So it's Hawaii vs. Japan for all the marbles. Good to see a lot of Asian blood including Hawaii in the Finals.

Congratulations to Hawaii and Japan! Wow, Waipahu over Pearland 10-0. Thank god for the mercy rule. What a demolition. It should be a good game. Good luck to both Hawaii and Japan. Hawaii no ka oi!
