"At least it seemed that way as they both rotated multiple pitchers in and out . . . "

I think the idea was to not wear out their best pitchers since no matter what the outcome of this particular game, both teams still would go to the semi-finals, where their best efforts really count.

Let's travel to Seoul to watch the finals if it becomes Japan vs S. Korea. Let's go anyways, since I have a feeling it'll be V vs U.S. If so, we can see the finals from a very disinterested perhaps quite spotty coverage of the game.

I can't wait for another Korea / Japan match-up! How about you guys??!!

Ummm having watched the delayed broadcast on skapa I think they played with a truck load of seriousness. Neither team had any wish to yield in this game!

Today's game was OK, but I don't think either team played with utmost seriousness. At least it seemed that way as they both rotated multiple pitchers in and out, usually for no good reason (to give them some throws/practice, I suspect), or so it seemed to me.

I don't need to see another Japan/Korea game. At least the next two match-ups should be new and interesting. Anyhow, if I was a betting man, I'd put my money on Venezuela to win it all.

I'm going to try to predict it now: Venezuela's going to wipe the field with Korea.

I'm a little sick and tired of 4-5 times of Japan vs Korea games. Next WBC why don't they put Taiwan in pool A, Korea in pool B, China in pool C, Japan in pool D very sparsely something like that. I want to see more variety of combinations of ball games. More fun!

It was a conservative boring game....what a ridiculous situation, now there's a possibility we'll have Japan and Korea again in the final...they've played what,4-5 times already ? It's hardly the "WOLRLD" classic.

Sounds like it was a good game, and I curse myself for missing it. I hope they don't play again, though, in all honesty. It's just too many times already.

Anyway, good job, Japan.

Congratulations Japan. As usual, it was a tight game between Japan and Korea. Good luck to the both teams in the semifinals. Interesting matchups await.

Seriously...how many more times are they gonna play each other?

Must be a very underpaid job compared to those bonus received my AIG affiliates, (leeches?)

Hopefully the bats stay warm for Samurai Japan...Team USA is falling apart with injuries, so it's entirely possible for us to see Korea vs. Japan for a FIFTH time UGH!

Good game! Both teams anyway go to semifinal against US/Venezuela. Japan did win but still is under not good condition. Japan failed several good chances to get more points. I think that Korea did not worry about todays game as Korea goes to semifinal. I expect best games: Japan vs US and Ven vs Korea in Los Angeles.

Except for the ball to the head, a very good game to watch. Don't really want to see a Japan-Korea match up in the final so I will have to hold my nose and go with Venezuela. The US may get in and if they do a final with Venezuela would be worth watching.
