Rugby is tougher, rougher, and meaner than football. Go Japan!

Japan is in the same pool as South Africa,Scotland Samoa and the U.S.
Good luck getting through that lot...

Japan will have a chance to win games against the US, Scotland and Samoa, but they'll need to play well and possibly need some luck. The reality of the round-robin is that all of the teams will be targeting the Japan game as a must-win. South Africa is the only team that will be complacent (and with every right)
But Japan nearly took the French in the 2011 World Cup, so if they can put 80 minutes of rugby together they can definitely beat the USA at least. (They are ranked below Japan)

They just bowled samoa tonight, 33 - 14 admittedly samoa without some stars, but japan have a couple still in super 15 and it still classed as a test match, come world cup time it will be different
