BS. Last year they held a motorcycle race in the midst of a typhoon and it was wipe-out central.

One of the cancelled rugby matches, NZ vs Italy is at Toyota City, not too far away from Suzuka, and the same time as qualifying.

One year I flew into Haneda just as a typhoon was leaving Tokyo. We could see black skies ahead, but when we landed there was nothing except a wet tarmac. It's amazing how finely they can judge these things.
