Well done.

Congratulations

Great win for Japan. The top teams dominate lower competition.
The spread in competitive skill between top and bottom teams is real.

Looked the most dominant of all teams playing against WC debutantes, thus far. Then again, Zambia is the lowest ranking team in the tournament.

Well done, Nadeshiko! Great match!

This will get NHK's attention.
Fighto!
Positive and productive performance by Nadeshiko Japan. Good to see the hunger for goals! Full respect to the young Zambians in their first cup - they kept trying.
Of course it is all yet to come for Nadeshiko - but a solid start to be proud of. All eyes now turn to the Costa Rica match-up on Wednesday.

Shameful that no regular TV Network Channel broadcasted this match. NHK did, but it was on BS version.
So, I watched on FIFa Plus website, which is free, and is available to watch in several languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Deutsche, and Italian:

They were actually quite outstanding - technically very, very good.
Jun Endo on the left was exceptional - her passing was top shelf. Japan would have won by significantly more had Tanaka converted the passes Endo provided for her on several occasions. She's one of the best female passers I've seen, if not the best.

Bright start by Nadeshiko Japan. The Copper Queens have work to do. All the best.

Yes a great start ...nuff said

Indeed. Solid performance, wasn’t it?
Yes. 32 teams is a bit padded at this moment in the women’s game to be honest.
Still, the women’s World Cup is progressing at some pace in terms of quality and viewership.
I saw one prediction that viewership around the world could hit between 1.5 and 2 billion.
That’s stunning.

The next match is on BS1, as well. NHK has been putting the desirable sports events on BS for a while now. It may suck for the general public. But, it's probably a good business decision, as it most likely encourages people to pony up the fee.
OTOH, if it's available on the internet to stream for free, it's not really that big a deal, especially if it's available in JA.
