Fantastic to see Kubo doing the business in La Liga, the world's 2nd best League after EPL! Another potential world cup selection headache for Moriyasu - a great problem to have!

I) Kubo

II) Japan ,s WC hopes

,,, don’t know why you all excited; imo he should be playing for Real Madrid already; OR they could sell him; he could(and should) be playing for an European giant already, but no: he’s stuck in these ridiculously small spanish clubs; La Liga is the world’s 2nd best league, yes, but if you’re not playing for Real or Barcelona, then forget about it; different from the EPL, where (outside of the big six), you still have plenty of good clubs and a lot more visibility. yes, I know there’s some fierce competition inside Real’s squad, but this Kubo guy’s good(!), he’s really good(!), imo he has enough quality and I’m afraid Real is throwing away his “flame” – (idk what they’re waiting for, is it because he’s Japanese and they think a Japanese can’t be a superstar in RM? Idk): – sometimes it’s all about having a chance; if you don’t do it in the big stage at the right time, you start losing quality and instead of becoming one of the best in the world, you end up being just a “great player”. “ Another potential world cup selection headache for Moriyasu - a great problem to have! “ . It’s not an “headache” and it’s not “a great problem to have”. sorry to break it to you, but they’ll play against Germany and Spain.

I think you do not understand the expression.

It is always a great headache for a gaffer to have trying to fit 20 or 30 quality players into an 11 man team. Some top notch players will be watching the proceedings in Qatar from their lounge room. Kubo will almost certainly be there IF he keeps his scoring up and keeps fit.

As for Real Sociedad, they finished 6th on La Liga last season, will play in Europe, and are doing fine. Very few can play for Real Madrid or Barca - and doing so is not the be all and end all.

I understand the expression; everyone who follows the game knows the expression;

my point is that (1) Kubo WILL be there; (2) Japan only has a few ”quality players” and (3) it doesn’t really make sense to say that because they will(!) lose against Germany and Spain.

Have a look at the results of the last ten years at the Champions League and the Europa League. Which is really the best soccer league in Europe and which ist the best at marketing itself? Kubo doesn't still have what it takes to play at Real Madrid, cause he has to play at a position there, right wing, which doesn't really suit his skills. The coach at Real Sociedad is fond of creative playing and will know how to help Kubo to develop. Japan will classify for the next round, either by beating Spain or Germany. Just wait and see.

in La Liga, the world's 2nd best League after EPL!

btw… … about the “2nd best league” ; … should’ve added that imo it’s subjective… ;I personally think it’s / prefer the Bundesliga. sure, Bayern will probably win (again) (d-mn it), but you can’t go wrong with full (great)stadiums and fast/high quality football. (in terms of enjoying the game we all love, the Bundesliga is better).
