Congrats to Japan and Hawai'i!! Good to see Asian blood going at it for all the marbles!

Game Over- Let the investigations begin !

BTW hotbox- you do realize the internet game is not live ! There is a bit of a delay- the score now is 14-2 CT... end of the 4th !

Finally, Texas is on the board. 13-2.

ZZZZZ ... this blowout is becoming a snoozefest. How much longer until the mercy rule is in effect? ZZZZZ .....

Ooh, 15 plays reviewed in this tournament, 7 overturned. ZZZZZ ....

Nice relay though by the Taipei outfielder. Too close to call ... High tag maybe?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nice hit, but he tried to stretch it to third. ... Instant replay?

It'll be Maltezo of Hawaii vs. Ikeda of Japan on the mound. Should be a good one.

Damn 13-0 now! What's with the old 1982 footage of Cody Webster? Ah, I see because his name is the same as Cody Maltezo of Hawaii.

"By the way Branded, I'm now watching the consolation game on ESPN on the Internet site, ATDHE.NET."

Great ! I'm glad to have helped ! And yes, Texas is getting demolished- much like I said, had these teams made it to the final- Chinese Taipei would win. Hard to imagine what happened when they played Japan- this is a team averaging double digit runs throughout the tourney, yet scores a mere "2" runs against Japan- with an "average" Japanese pitcher on the mound ! I mentioned it early- should this Chinese Taipei team win the series- there would be some people calling for "age verification"... no mystery- the Chinese Taipei kids are huge ! I can't help but wonder if they tanked the International Championship Game to stay out of the limelight. And please don't make me give evidence of Asian teams pulling such shenanigans before ! It seems common place in gymnastics and baseball alike... you just never know.

Ooh ... KFC commercial ... making me hungry. That free chocolate cake looks like crap.

Little league series is being sponsored by Kelloggs Frosted Flakes?

Oh, now Teamwork Play of the game goes to of course, Taipei!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Now a Mazda commercial as Taipei is easily out of that inning.

By the way Branded, I'm now watching the consolation game on ESPN on the Internet site, ATDHE.NET.

Wow, Texas just someone on base finally. That was on a poor play by the Taipei player. Texas is getting demolished.

"I'll give you the fact that Taipei did make a key pickoff error, and some other bad plays."

And they ain't making those mistakes now- Chinese Taipei 10- Texas 0 ! This one looks to be called early.

Oh and hotbox- I see yer still checking the internet for scores and info instead of watching the games. "Hawaii played Texas only ONCE!" Obviously if it was the US championship game ! Too funny.

Branded:

why should I waste my time with someone who is babbling on about something they didn't see ?

If you have to know, I have watched both games. Ever heard of the Internet? So many great websites like Veetle to watch sports, movies, etc. I'll give you the fact that Taipei did make a key pickoff error, and some other bad plays. However, Japan too made several bad plays themselves. Wild pitches, missed grabs, and bad deflections all were committe by Japan. But I guess you refused to see those. Bottom line is that Japan just played a little better and thus won the game.

And you seem to have a short memory because you did say that Texas would beat Hawaii with their homerun hitting since Hawaiians were already thinking about football.

Hawaii got to the finals by beating Texas twice

Huh? Have you actually been watching these games? Hawaii played Texas only ONCE! I don't recall seeing TWO Texas-Hawaii games. They beat Georgia twice before facing Texas. I guess you haven't been watching these games, huh?

Hotbox:

"I bet if Chinese Taipei won, you wouldn't be saying it was because Japan "gifted" it to them."

I'll take that bet !

"Now you do a 180 and back Hawaii, without giving them their due?"

Hey, Hawaii earned the win ! Strong pitching and clutch hitting... none of this passed balls, errors, muffed double plays- Hawaii got to the finals by beating Texas twice... no mistake there. But of course you would know this if you had actually watched the games- which you didn't- so why should I waste my time with someone who is babbling on about something they didn't see ? My suggestion to you- go to the LLWS website and watch the games ! Then come back with point of reference instead of just trolling. Kendo ? Judo ? Karate ? Like I said- military style training !

Next year it'll be Kanagawa-ken vs USA.

Chinese Taipei- the obvious powerhouse of this tourney literally gifted this game to Japan !

Typical Branded and his sour grapes. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Childish if you ask me. Never giving Japan props for their win. I bet if Chinese Taipei won, you wouldn't be saying it was because Japan "gifted" it to them.

Best of luck Hawaii- make it 6 in a row for the US.

Wait a minute, weren't you the one who predicted that Texas would win because Hawaii's kids are thinking about playing football? Now you do a 180 and back Hawaii, without giving them their due? Hmmm ...

I'll be rooting for Hawaii in the final- also a surprise finalist- but at least they "won" their way to the championship game.

Not such a surprise, Waipio won the championship in 2008, too, and a Hawaii team also brought home the trophy in 2005 to start the U.S.'s 5-year winning streak.

Chinese Taipei- the obvious powerhouse of this tourney literally gifted this game to Japan ! All this hoopla over the game winning hit barely touches on the passed balls, miscues, and errors that allowed Japan to win. This final "hit" by Motegi actually went right under the glove of Taipeis shortstop. The Chinese Taipei coach said his team was extremely nervous for this final- boy did it show ! I'll be rooting for Hawaii in the final- also a surpirse finalist- but at least they "won" their way to the championship game. Oh and movieguy- "I don't know why they're not showing the game LIVE at 4:00 AM, Monday, but it will be on J-Sports ESPN at 6 PM Monday." You must be new to Japan- many events featuring "national" teams or the like are not shown live- The J press prefers to know the outcome before doing the broadcast overdub... makes them sound more intelligent being able to reference the ... "see I told ya so" angle. Total amatuers really- but if their losing, they like to be prepared with excuses. Best of luck Hawaii- make it 6 in a row for the US.

Go Hawaii!!! I don't know why they're not showing the game LIVE at 4:00 AM, Monday, but it will be on J-Sports ESPN at 6 PM Monday.

So nice to see all the positive comments until that last one from Badsey, guess the name fits. The reason we have no pro team is purely logistical. It's too costly for mainland teams to fly there on a regular basis. As far as my boys from 96797, I am proud that our program we started in 1986 is getting the recognition we have earned, and we will represent America well. Ku'u Home o Waipio, Kulia I Ka Nu'u!

Most "mainlanders" I know love Hawaii. I was cheering them on 100% and when I lived in the US I lived no where near Hawaii.

Aloha nui loa Waipio!!!

Imua Waipio!

I'm torn--long-time resident of Japan, but from Hawaii... IN the end, I guess I gotta root for the home team--Hawaii No Ka Oi!!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yay! Hawaii is in the final. It's just too bad that many redneck mainlanders often diss Hawaii and forget that it is a part of America too. Remember that Hawaii has been a state since 1959! Good luck Hawaii!

Congratulations to Hawaii and Japan! Wow, Waipahu over Pearland 10-0. Thank god for the mercy rule. What a demolition. It should be a good little league final. Good luck to both Hawaii and Japan. However, Hawaii no ka oi!

Congratulations to both Japan and Hawaii in advancing to the LL World's Final. This baseball in it's purest form. No money, no fame, .... just love of the game!! Gambatte to both!!
