Great news for japan rugby.
Any news on where the team will be based?

Nice. Rugby becoming more and more lucrative as they add countries like Japan. My guess will be based in Tokyo for maximum bang for buck.

That's great news, Rugby is becoming more and more popular here, J Sports pretty much only plays Rugby on Saturdays and Sundays

Excellent. Need to grow support here in advance of RWC 2019.
Would be great if Japan beat NZ Maoris over the next couple of weekends. If you've not been to an international match at Chichibunomiya ~ check it out. Fantastic atmosphere.

Going to be basically the Japanese national team with a few extras. Considering the amount of money they have to throw around in the local league, they should be able to attract some decent names. Regular international competition should attract more people to the game too! Might be the whipping boys at first, but gotta start somewhere. And how good is it going to be having regular games in Tokyo ( assuming that's where it will be). Better get cracking on a stadium though......

Good news for Japanese rugby and Airlines, hopefully the team are not wooden spooners in years to come.

Excellent, congratulations to Eddy Jones and the rest of the JRFU for doing such a great job in getting a place in the competition. This should be a great boost to the rugby playing community throughout Japan, can't wait to read the details in the near future.

Great news! Japan should improve a lot over the next couple of years. Hopefully they will be ranked 6th or 7th by 2019. Japan might have to play a couple of games in Singapore as the flying time from SA to Japan is too long. Players would be too exhausted and the quality would drop. Looking forward to seeing more rugby on regular TV in Japan.
