Sana, I disagree with the first half of your post. From my experiences here of travelling to Aida, Suzuka and Fuji Speedway, I would say there is a huge F1 fan base, relatively quiet now, but just waiting for the right opportunity. Suzuka is one of the most loved circuits in the world. Each time a Japanese driver takes part, interest grows exponentially.
There is a massive Honda fan base here too, as you can see by Honda engine news on dedicated motor sports sites, but they have been so disappointed each and every time Honda made the decision to pull out once again.

Wonderful. “Mistakes” usually results in collisions with other cars, knocking other drivers out of the race. Just what we need.
