Controversy aside - how bad must this Cerezo Osaka mob be? 6-1? I feel sorry for the Korean players that this nutcase fan takes the gloss off a crushing triumph over the soccer duds from Osaka!

Jeonbuk says the fan called his behavior “senseless” and says he made the banner in anger over Jeonbuk Motors’ earlier loss to the Japanese club.

Such an important reason... <_<

Korea will be hosting the winter olympics. I suppose they are sensitive to any accusations of unruly fan behavior, and taken in that light, the response makes a lot of sense.

There you go! That's more done in terms of action towards a fan acting inappropriately than I've ever seen, and I hope this sends a message and helps clean things up a bit. True, it's hard to take action when you've got heaps of fans chanting some slurs or what have you -- but if you can catch some bad apples, toss them out.

Virtuoso: " I suppose they are sensitive to any accusations of unruly fan behavior, and taken in that light, the response makes a lot of sense."

Hopefully it's more than that.

The guy apologized and he's still banned from the stadium for 10 years?

Yes I am Korean but this crazy man whether he is Korean or non-Korean shouldn't have put on such an offensive placard. I am concerned that this year has been remarkably a rough period for Korea-Japan friendship. Please don't forget that there are also good Koreans and Japanese alike who want their bilateral friendships to blossom too.

What's there to celebrate, you piece of ****. How could he not be Korean if he's crazy? He should be banned for life! Send this bastard to Fukushima and make him apologize. He's Korean all right.
