Eddie Jones has done some good things with that England side, a side that was at rock bottom only 12 months ago after that ignominious exit from the world cup in the pool stages. First Grand Slam this year for 13 years.

That said, they haven't played the All Blacks this year, and the six nations match next year in Dublin will be a very tough game for them as well.

Terrible year for Australia on the other hand, 9 losses in total.

@akula, imo England were not as bad as many ppl in the sh think they were. Lancaster did a very good job for 2 years but crumbled under pressure at their rwc.

Jones has brought bravado and confidence and has done an excellent job fine-tuning the team he inherited from Lancaster.

Re wallabies, despite poor results I reckon they are playing their best rugby in years, the endemic scrum issues are (well seem to be) a thing of the past and the backline is finally clicking more often than not. Only problem is that they played the 2 best teams in world rugby 7 times this year! All other nations would have had a similar 0/7 or 1/7 a best record against AB and Eng. Average year rather than abysmal imo.

That was a high quality Nov tour, some very good footy.

The man has contributed to so many clubs' and countries' success. So shouldn't we just refer to Eddie Jones as "Mr Rugby" from now on?

Last laugh? Australia fired Jones for being crap, just let him work his magic on England for a couple of years. Eddie has never been able to keep it up for more than a season.

The man has contributed to so many clubs' and countries' success.

He's been fired a number of times as well. Mr Rugby? Hardly. He has never built a strong team that lasted more than one peak time. Wait and watch Guy, he'll start burning bridges with players in another 12 months after they lose the 6 nations crown.

@guy Jincarde Actually Eddie has had a rather chequered history with his coaching. Some real successes coupled with some abject failures. Can always remember the Queensland side he was coaching losing by 90 points.
