"Freedom of Speech" does not mean "Freedom from Consequences"!

Try saying anything you want to your boss and see if freedom speech will keep you from getting fired. Sterling was a member of private organization with laws he agreed to when he joined. The laws specifically said any action that causes harm to the organization is grounds for expulsion from the group. Whether he intentionally said it to the public or in private, it still got out and cause financial damage or potential damage to the organization.

I still think all if this was planned, he is there to make money so I don't believe he "slipped" with his racial comments.

The lawyers will keep the legal battle going indefinitely as they stand to make a tidy profit via ongoing litigation, even after the old man dies. To tthink it's over is very nearsighted.
