He's sure come a long way in just a few short years! Never could have predicted this back when he join the unfashionable half of Osaka.

As Manchester City is one of the best teams in the world, hope he gains more experience by playing in every game ... not by being a bench warmer ...

Well done Mr Kagawa! He made the right decision. It simply does not come any bigger than Man U - no disrespect to the Bundesliga - but he has really hit the big time now. Gotta be consistant and play regularly though, but I'm sure he can do it. Looking forward to watching the EPL next season now!

LOL, that's one hell of a gaff there edojin. All kidding aside though, Kagawa and United are a perfect match. Looking forward to him doing some damage next season!

Fulfilled his dream (maybe) but sold his soul to the (Red) Devil !!

Urm... awkward Hes actually joined Manchester United.
But good luck to the lad I hope he does well over there and that he doesn't turn into a flop.

And let the merchandising begin!

Sadly, they're still trying to fob off the Honda merchandise that they made when doing their usual golden boy prediction.
For Kagawa.... awesome news. There is no better team (arguably) than Manchester United, and he has brought himself and Japan to a new level of respect. My hats off.

so no chance of him signing for Newcastle united? damn...

Inamoto was a bench warmer but Miyaichi looks a very good prospect at 18.
And yes napoleon, it's sad news for united fans but I guess the Newton Heath contingent will be happy.

Interesting... They didn't win the club cup... ;)
How much playing time is he going to get? I like him but at 23 I can't help but wonder if he'll be riding the pines for a few years.
And yes, Honda. Why on earth is he still stuck in Russia??

City won the Premiership only on goal difference over a United squad frought with key injuries and testing out new/young players. There will always be an asterisk next to City's name on the list of Barclay's Champions as the only team to be crowned champions on goal difference in the Premier League's history (only the third if you count goal average in the First Division since 1888). Sure I'm a dyed in the wool United supporter and don't know if you're a City fan, but the only thing significant about City's winning the 11-12 EPL cup is that it was their first.
Not a chance. United's midfield has room for Kagawa and Sir Alex will be giving him plenty of playing time so he can be schooled by Giggs and Scholes, espcially if rumors that Ji-Sung Park may leave United become a reality.

I guess we'll see US. I hope he gets played a lot but stating he will....

I'm certain he will, if a player was being signed just to sit on the bench it is unlikely that the team manager would have flown to Germany to watch him play in the cup final just days before the final round of Premier League matches.
Kagawa will become an important part of the United team, his age is less a factor than his quality. Big future awaits!
