Totally agree Penfold. Not one single player has refused to perform this nonsense before a match. This is not optional. Commentator lost their jobs for refusing to wear BLM badges. I support kick it out and I’m against racism anywhere but this is clearly having an adverse effect.

I think you mean you are tired of seeing footballers take the knee for a few seconds before kick-off.

I’m old enough to remember bananas being thrown at John Barnes and crowds making hissing sounds at Spurs games to imitate the sound of Nazi gas chambers. It has improved since then but racism is still around in English football.

You are not a child who can be told what you should care about and I’m sure you do your bit for the other causes you mention. You may think there are more important causes but racism is still garbage we need to do more to get rid of.

Ignore the few seconds of the knee and watch a 90-minute match.

If those few seconds are too unbearable, turn on the matches after kick-off.

You could even just not watch the matches if you are that bothered by it.

Rather than blame them for doing it, I would blame the NFL, when taking the knee started and was far from condoned, for not doing more.

Nothing wrong with doing your part to stamp out racism and help people. However, a bunch of pampered millionaires using the opportunity to make simplistic gestures and signalling their virtue is beyond useless.

Not to mention, taking a knee is a common gesture of the BLM movement, which has little to do with racism and a lot to do with Marxism. As is demanding compliance and shaming those who disagree.

I stopped watching NFL and Premier League once all the kneeling started. Sometimes I miss it, but I refuse to buy into all the fake hand-wringing and crocodile tears.

The game of football is a beautiful sport. It needs to be played in the right spirit. Wishing all footballers, match officials, and fans a jolly good time on and off the field.
