Go Yu-na! Once again proving who is number one.

Miki's performance was absolutely amazing. She had an aura about her and was in her own world. It's amazing that the young girl who was very inconsistent, not confident, and couldn't express herself has come so far. It's too bad she's not in perfect condition, but I expect another great performance from her tonight. As for Kim, the world is expecting her to be number one, so let's see how she deals with the pressure after not skating in a competition for a year.

This isn't the Olympics, you don't have a bunch of judges who want to "create" an Olympic moment by inflating Yu-Na's scores to ridiculous levels. Therefore, Miki has a solid chance of beating Yu-Na if she skates like she has all season. Hopefully Miki wins.

I'd say she's dealing with it quite well. Pressure was never a problem for her like it has been for Mao, for example.

Agree on Ando, though I didn't see her performance. She has definitely come a long way and is a lot more consistent.

It would be great for her if she does, but Yu-na seems to have the upper hand, and if she continues to do as well she will win. Anyway, we shall see. Either way, Asia has become dominant in women's figure skating at least (the men do quite well as well).

This must not be a Kyodo wire story, otherwise the headline would have read "Mao off to slow start, hopes for better finish".

Hope Miki wins it all.

Wow, Miki Ando, 195.79 ranked first to Yuna Kim's 194.50 points. Probably she wins! Mao Asada currently fourth, 172.50!

Wow Miki won!!! Well deserved. Her performance gave me the goosebumps. She really knew how to express her feelings this time. I love how unselfish she is saying that she didn't skate for herself but for Japan. Congrats, Miki. Way to go.

Congratulations to Miki, he deserved her gold medal, justice is served. After short program which Kim won with mistakes, I lost confidence that the judges will judge fairly, but persistence and perseverence won.

Congratulations, Mikitty! My, how far you've come. You deserve the gold, after only making one mistake to Kim's two. After some questionable judging in the SP I'm glad they got it right this time. Great show, gold medalist & world champion Miki Ando!

See? Miki did win. They skated an ostensibly neutral venue and Miki out-skated Yu Na Kim and won the gold. Both skaters made mistakes in their free programs, but Yu Na missed a jump and that was enough. Like I said earlier, on even footing, Miki had a very good shot at beating Kim. Congratulations Miki! You're now the #1 Japanese skater and #1 for the 2010-2011 season. Omedetou Gozaimasu!

No one can beat Queen Yu-na, she has the judges wrapped around her little finger.

Miki will have to settle for 2nd place.

Miki might win if Yu-na takes a spill.

Congratulations to Miki on making only one mistake to Yu-na's two mistakes and winning the gold!
