A lot of people were wondering why Mao jumped to 3rd place. She made plenty of mistakes and her skating is not fluid. Fact of the matter is that people were standing up and clapping before Yuna ended her flawless performance. Her dominance showed even at the Gala performance yesterday. Creative, emotional, and flawless.
How can anyone claim that the Koreans bribed the judges when almost all the sponsors are Japanese. My Japanese friend brother in law told me that Koreans control high levels of Japanese media and other powerful areas of public influence. That's just silly.

So then by your logic every win of Mao's has been rigged to boost rivalry. Wow you guys really can't take it well when your athletes get beaten by a South Korean, who is flawless nonetheless. Must really irk you guys that SK won so many golds in Vancouver while Japan got... one, was it? Were all the judges corrupt in all the other events also? If anything was rigged, it was Mao being given the triple axle when she blew it on the first day. So there you go. You and Serrano can console each other.

Serrano: you already proved yourself silly the other day claiming the judges were bias in favour of Kim when in fact they went easy on Mao, so you best drop the jealousy. Mao simply cannot beat Kim--it's a fact.

Yes I have to agree that was very good and unaffected of Kanako, and add that she is hot.
danako
Mao's dress is strange? She's the white swan! I think Miki Ando was the black swan last year.
Kanako's performance was good, too bad she didn't medal. But what a good sport, taking Mao's photo holding the medal she almost won.

same judges who gave her the highest score in Germany few months back when most of skate figure fans were watching the ISU 4CC...

Hmm or maybe they were just able to be mesmerized by Queen Yu-Na.
Daijoboots
Hmm maybe they were able to spot her errors.

Kim Yuna - silky moves, silky dress, sex on ice.
Mao Asada - strange moves, strange dress, awkward all round.
Pyeongchang - 2018 Winter Olympics, when did that happen.

Serrano:
Apparently it does, otherwise she wouldn't have missed out on the gold in 2010 and 2011.
This time, she made sure no-one came close. It's funny how when she wins, it's because judges love her. When certain other skaters win, it's because they skated well.
Serrano
It doesn't matter how anyone else skates, the judges love Queen Yu-Na.
Personally, I though Kanako Murakami's performance was just fantastic, but the judges judged her to be 4th.

I personally gave up on the Jp media ages ago. You'd think they'd show this live, given how much attention the Jp skaters get. I just watched it live on the internet this morning (I found a Korean and East European site - both seemed legit). Totally blown away by Kim's performance. After the first two jumps, it just felt as if nothing was going to go wrong. I thought the 4th placed Japanese skater should have been swapped with Kostner. The Chinese skater's FP was great too. Total disappointment for the Russians. Americans aren't faring too well nowadays, in both men's and women's.

"That’s bad news because no one else comes close to Kim. In fact, it’s really not even fair to make them try."
That says it all. Congrats to Kim, and welcome back. Another gold next year in Russia. And no small fete on Mao's part for moving up to third. I just hope this is covered in the Japanese media, as everyone did their best. Shame about Takahashi, but Hanyu is definitely up and coming.

Congratulation Kim and Kostner!

The Queen is back and she will be hard to stop. Good job Mao, you had a strong FS and made the podium.

Congratulations Queen Kim !!!
