Go the Reds! Let's thrash this little club and leave them in the relegation zone! Mo Salah for the double.

I don’t know what Ganbare Japan has been reading about English football, but Man U are not a little club.

This is a huge club in disarray.

That’s the joy of it.

The bigger story here is that it's an absolute must win for Liverpool. They are the only team with a hope in hell of taking on Man City. Dropping more points here will have the tabloids saying it's already over if Man City win their game this weekend.

I am more worried or concerned about Liverpool than Man U. Too many serious first-team injuries. Cannot field a full first team and need the under-21s to fill the substitutes bench.

In the last game, super signing Nunez was provoked by a Crystal Palace defender and ended up red carded for three games. Going forward, every defender of every game will try to do the same.

Bobby Firmino is back to fill the place in the front three. The central defender combination for this game and going forward should be Gomez and Van Dijk.

A little more concern in the midfield with an injured Thiago and Keita not quite playing to expectations.

Two huge clubs, with fire and passion to win. It won't be pretty.

We need the win.

@ Jimizo - nah, Man U are that little club across town from the Citizens. Hopefully Ronaldo plays!

Top three clubs in English football history.

Liverpool – 106 seasons, 19 titles (307 points)

The Reds’ title win in 2019/20 may have been their first in the Premier League era, but it was of course their 19th overall and took them one clear of Manchester United (42 trophies) in terms of wider silverware.

Manchester United – 96 seasons, 20 titles (292 points)

Everton – 118 seasons, 9 titles (281 points)

So why do you have such dislike for a ‘little club’? Any feelings about Stockport County or Salford FC?

Anyway, there’ll be 70-odd thousand at Old Trafford on Monday to watch this.

As the Resident said, Liverpool can’t afford to drop more points given the kind of points totals City usually rack up.

Another side with 0 points is Everton. Anything less than a win on Saturday will be very concerning.

I think the City dominance is getting boring ( although most City fans obviously wouldn’t agree like the Man U or Liverpool fans of the past ).

In the past few years only the brilliance of Klopp has prevented City completely dominating title wins.

I’d like to see others challenge but my tribalism can’t let me accept Man U to be the side to do it.

Childish, I admit.

Fighto!” Go the Reds! Let's thrash this little club and leave them in the relegation zone! Mo Salah for the double.

… is that ignorance? … or something else? I’ll go with something else. Football doesn’t need fans like you.

..

hopefully it will be a great match (between two giants and two of the best clubs in the world). I’m expecting Liverpool to win (of course); some people want United to be humiliated but I just want to enjoy the game; maybe 4-2 / 5-2 for Liverpool(?) ;)
