Just stop sport. It's pointless.

For many sports are the only way out of their poverty.

The problem is if you award it to Liverpool, Leeds and other promotion hopefuls will go to court.

I agree that the title should go to Liverpool, but that sets a precedent for the other clubs.

Promotion to the PL is worth GBP170 million.

If they wish, award the title with an asterisk.

Season ended early due to COVID-19. 92 games were unable to be played.

Mathematically...

CL places were as stands on...

Relegation places were as stands on...

Wait a minute this does some farcical doesn’t it?

Just cancel the rest of the season and award the trophy to LFC with *. They are unbeatable now anyway. Problem solved. Fans must only celebrate in their rooms, and get arrested if they gather.

Jurgen Klopp should tell the fans to stay at home in his usual forthright way. They'll listen to him if no-one else.

Each game would be like having promiscuous unprotected sex with complete strangers.

No it wouldn't. I don't enjoy sport.

If ever there was a non-essential industry, it's having a bunch of millionaires running around, sometimes being better at kicking than another bunch of millionaires.

You obviously know nothing about the game. The majority of English club players, that are in the lower leagues don't earn big money. Some very little. If the season is cancelled which will also mean returning the 750 million pounds TV rights, 90% of the lower clubs face bankruptcy.

Like all sports people their playing careers are very short and for most over when they get into their 30's. For too many, their careers are over with a serious injury.

The football industry employs many hundreds of thousands of workers who wouldn't call their incomes non-essential.

If the games art broadcast live on the TV even the hardened Liverpool fans will stay at home to watch.

Yesterday I read a post about using a logarithm to calculate the final league positions. It put Liverpool on top at 103 points.

Just cancel the season! The average UK footballer fan will be too hard-headed to follow any safety protocols. They will always find a location to gather in large crowds with close proximity to one another. Each game would be like having promiscuous unprotected sex with complete strangers.

Both necessary evils here, just which is least worse. Unfortunately, that’s null and void as it aggrieves less clubs.

Correct, bottom line is prioritising lives above resumption. Get over it!

Just block off the area around the stadium when the team comes in and out.

They'd probably just congregate around where the bus emerges from the blocked off point. Scousers are a stubborn and unruly bunch, many of them will find a way.

There's nothing worse than out of shape, unfit, non sporty people bashing people who do actually move. I couldn't hang out with a female who didn't do some form of exercise.Unattractive as ....

@ dreck

The problem is its the regular people who work in the stadium, the businesses around the stadium.

And its the joy it brings people

Belgium and Holland cancelled their seasons. Germany, Italy and Spain looking to continue.

PSG are set to be named Ligue 1 champions, after the French government banned all sport until September

The concerns of the Liverpool mayor are real.

Get Man City to forfeit some meaningless games and award the title to Liverpool. Announce it at 4am on a Monday morning.

Is the mayor suggesting to null and void the season then? Then he'd see the "Mother of all farcical scenes."
