These games turning into a a fail before they even get going.

Waste of money london does not have to squander.

too much cash spent on olympics these days.. i never understood why these ceremonies should be so grand and pompous, I am quite sure they could do with much lesser expenses and more focus on televised audience. streamline it so that most cash goes to the athletes and the host places and thats it...

i bet even that horror of a logo they came up with cost a bundle

Hampden Park, the football stadium 20 minutes quick walking distance away from my home will be around half full when the first game is played here on the 26th (yes, BEFORE the opening ceremony! Weird)... I have a driving lesson that day so that should be fun.

Fun thing is that Japan will be playing Spain here... so I might pester some innocent Japanese fan to practice my Japanese, hahaha

However, yes the games are a complete and utter waste of money and manpower, with the security cock-up and unsold tickets being the talking points.

i given up trying to get tickets, all the good ones went early but are still available over seas or for big money. security is a joke. people are getting lost using the "special" olympics road lanes. i booked a few days away to get away from the Olympics to find out this week they have it in cardiff, i never know it was gonna be there, no one told me (cry cry cry). shows how much they publicised events out side london.

There are always plenty of dud tickets available on the day - the likes of soccer, water-polo, shooting, handball and table-tennis among them. They should just give these unwanted tix to schoolkids - but then again, maybe even they would refuse to go!

Bit harsh there mate. I reckon and hope them Poms will do an excellent job of hosting the Games.
