Great to see all Asian nations coming together for what will surely be a bonding experience. Shattered Europe must be looking on with envy.
Go Japan!

Pretty sure most are not even aware of it, I live in Asia and didn't even know it started.
Fighto!
If you think 2 weeks of a sports event will sugar-coat all the negative behaviour of Communist China in the region in the eyes of Asian democracies, you are sadly mistaken.

Waste of time and money regardless of the location. Sports and entertainment should not be given any tax money for the time being. There are far more important issues that need to be addressed.

Well, that was during the peak of the deadly COVID pandemic.
Well, much of that money went into various pockets....

In China games are sheer politics. Everything is political there but games are among the most. And, mind, it is Chinese politics, not your run-of-the-mill western politics.

What an odd sentence to include in this article.
But of course, as usual there has to be something negative if mentioning China in the anti China western press.

They have all been practicing for five years and more. Breaking old records and setting new ones is the driving ambition of every athlete privileged to participate in the Asian Games. Wishing all participants joy.
