Ronaldo was really annoying with the diving and spoiled brat act when he didn’t get the penalties he knew he was playing for. Should have been carded for simulation.

I thought Rice was superb again. His value going up with every season.

Chelsea look very strong. Next week’s game with City will be very interesting.

Agreed regarding Ronaldo. It's horrible seeing him back in the Premier League!

I think I'm an anomaly around these parts as a lifelong Villa supporter, and am not looking forward to playing against Ronaldo next week.

Oh well, Leon Bailey looks a star!

To be honest, I’ve always had a bit of time for Ronaldo. He’s a preener but he does have the talent to back it up. That said, his diving and histrionics yesterday were just past the post. Should have been yellow carded.

Villa are a handy side. Early days but it looks like the recruitment over the summer was good.

Another extravagantly gifted player whose antics render him dislikable in the extreme. Why do they do it? He also seems to have become manager of Hedge Fund FC, filling the tactical void that is OG Solskjaer.

A very astute buy from the look of him.

Oh, Ronaldo is probably the best player I've ever seen live. It's his behaviour I guess that rubs people up the wrong way. Bruno Fernandes is another...non stop moaning and cheating.

Ronaldo proving that he is still great, even at his age he is still minimum top 5. Hopefully he doesn't help Man-u too much!

David De Gea, Jesse Lingard, and CR7 - they are capable of doing the unthinkable. Well played.
