Man U’s wage bill is huge. What the hell are they paying for?

If you make the club culture about paying the highest wages, and the players you attract are attracted because of the highest wages, then you have lost. I don't like Man You, but their successful history came from their academy, along with a great manager, and boosted by good transfers here and there.

United need to invest in their youth and just tweak with some astute transfers. They need 3 or 4 years. And they need to invest in a manager with a 4 year plan playing attacking football.

They need to forget about Champions League for 3 seasons. Ferguson started by winning the Cup Winners Cup and doing well in the FA Cup, he didn't start by winning the European Cup.

Man You fans make me laugh. The Glazers and Woodward have paid ridiculous money for top transfers every window. And they are protesting against the Glazers? Try being an Arsenal fan..

I agree, they are still in the phase of believing that wearing the shirt makes them a good player. If I were Utd I'd tell Chris Wilder at Sheff Utd they they want him to take over at the end of next season. Give him time to wrap his head around the idea, and give Ole time to look at their youth.

I have a feeling they don't want to sack Ole because they desperately don't want to be seen as 'that kind of club' despite him being a clearly second-rate coach.

De Gea, Martial & Pogba are taxing Utd for 900,000 quid a month in wages, almost double what Liverpool pay Salah, Mane & Firmino.

As much as it is nice to believe that OGS could succeed at Man U, he is clearly out of his depth.  Toast before end of 2020.

@Jimizo, have a look for yourself. Staggering waste of money.

On December 06, 2019, I warned that the victory of MU over Tottenham could be a curse instead of blessing, as Ole would continue to give false hope to MU supporters. It turned out to be true this morning.

After the humiliating defeat at home to Burnley, Ole talked January transfer plans. However, he stopped short of nominating a new manager who would replace him.
