Man U wins its first trophy in six years while Liverpool won every trophy available and remains the greatest team in the premier leagues even though the current season is something of a disaster.

As a Liverpool fan, I cannot agree with that. The current team is nowhere near the standard Liverpool should be setting, and need a broom put through it.

Then I suggest you check which club has won the most trophies in the premier league. That is Liverpool. So even with an appalling season.

Liverpool have won 5 trophies since Man United last won one.

English Clubs With Most Trophies:

   Liverpool - 68 trophies.

   Manchester United - 66 trophies. Now 67.

   Arsenal - 48 trophies.

   Chelsea - 34 trophies.

   Manchester City - 29 trophies.

   Tottenham Hotspur - 26 trophies.

   Aston Villa - 25 trophies.

   Everton – 24 trophies.

I'm liking what Ten Hag is doing with the club. He got rid of the dead weight and the arrogant players that were making the locker room toxic. He's brought in some talented youngsters and a couple veterans and the team is really starting to click again. Everyone knows their role and does it without complaining. The work ethic is very apparent and the discipline too. Let's keep this going boys!

Leave it to a Liverpool supporter to spout off tangentially on a story entirely about another club. Of course any headline that includes MUFC is a dog whistle for them. So you looking forward to the Europa League next year Wallace?

@wallace: You really should clarify trophies won whilst in the Premier League which has only existed since the 92-93 season. Past glories...Klopp has been the one that dragged you into this Century. I hope that he is given the time and money to rebuild again.

Have you ever met a Liverpool supporter?

Ten Hag has done a good job there. I expected Man U to be top 6 at best with a shot at a cup.

Looks like he’ll get top 4.

One acclaimed Man U supporter seems to know nothing about the rivalry between the two greatest clubs in English football. Did you ever go to a live Liverpool vs Man U game?

The history of football did not end and begin with the Premier League. It was merely a name change.

Liverpool have won every trophy over the last six years. A trophy is a trophy that is why they are counted. You can easily check online.

I am not disputing what Liverpool have won over the last six years. A trophy is indeed a trophy. I support no one in the Premier League but enjoy watching immensely, INCLUDING Liverpool who have been by far the most entertaining team to watch in recent years until this season. Klopp has done a simply superb job.

Just saying, Pride before becomes a fall, and before demeaning other teams just remember the years that Liverpool spent in the wilderness - Especially in the cash cow days of the Premier League. And ,it was NOT merely a name change. It has also morphed into something far greater than that. Educate yourself.

It's the beginning. Well played Man Utd. Congratulations to Erik ten Hag and his footballers.

Have you ever met a Liverpool supporter?

Yes, and have several close friends who are Liverpool supporters, but none of them would engage in the inane chest-thumping on display above.

Liverpool supporters don't have "Man U friends". Did you go to a Liverpool Man U game?

Probably if you are not born in Liverpool or Manchester you will never understand the rivalry.

Liverpool and Man U are up on Sunday at Anfield.

Where anything less than a win could put Champions League Football out of sight for Liverpool next season and the enormous revenue loss that would entail next season, but more importantly the chance to rebuild with top young players who want Champions League Football straight away. Jude Bellingham being a prime example.

Spurs are unfortunately (for Liverpool) starting to find some better form and getting a stranglehold on that 4th spot. I honestly don't see Liverpool going to Madrid and beating them by 4 goals in a couple of weeks and going on to win the CL and gain entry through that route.

As Man Utd have found out to their cost over the last few years, past glories fade fast in the modern game. It's no good being stuck in the past, which date I say, seems that you are.

I support Crystal Palace, we’ve never won anything
