This should be extended to ALL baseball, especially from high school baseball -- might end up with less players on the DL after a mere couple games.

This is a special rule for the exhibition series, to keep MLB owners happy and allow their players to play in the out of season in Japan. After a long season. Less than 50 pitches for a regular game will never work in pro baseball. These pitchers are paid huge Salary.

The series will be exciting and close I think!

Always fun, these kinds of events. I love the response of Realmuto being invited to the "hero's mound".

"During the series, pitchers will not be allowed to throw more than 80 pitches per game. If a pitcher throws more than 50 pitches, he must have four days of rest before being able to throw in another game."

Not quite the "all star" team but a good assembly of players from the U.S. Fun game to watch and fun to watch Matsui coaching
