While these MLB players haggle over millions of USD's there are 43 million of their fellow Americans out of work looking broke and in debt. As the old saying goes the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer.

True but it also takes two to tango. The owners they are negotiating with are even richer than they are.
I'm not really defending rich ballplayers, but just saying the owners are just as bad.

Last year's Central League MVP just tested positive for Corornavirus so I'm not so confident NPB is going to be starting on schedule.

The reason ballplayers make so much is because their play is what garners teams' income. In that since, they deserve their fair share. If the owners are mosing revenue due to Sars-Cov-2, then the players shhould also 'suffer.' They wanna strike, let 'em strike. It bin't lile fans who are prohibitted from attending games are gonna care much.

What the billionaire owners want is another paycut and fewer games, so the owners don't have to pay the players as much since the players are paid depending on how many games
