Don't spread the virus
This is the kinds of things that happen when the virus spreads
It's not just about deaths - it's everything else too

I don't think people are directly blaming Momota for catching the virus, but many do remember his poor hobby choices (the illegal gambling scandal), and I am sure his team mates were not happy at all being turned back from the airport.

It is played indoors where the chances of virus transmission are much higher.
Maybe because he knew he would be tested at Narita!!!

And badminton is not even a close contact sport.
Strange, that Momota should have tested positive at Narita airport. Why wouldn’t he have had the test before going to travel?

Momota's has had a bad run for more than a year now.
Wishing him fast recovery.
As for how he got the virus, only the feeble minded speculate about things they have no clue about.

Well, well, well. Now who'sgoing to be blamed? The last misfortune he had was blamed on the poor driverand carried on in his news repeatedly.

This is why the Olympics needs to be canceled. Its an uncontrollable situation with an uncontrollable virus running around. Its a recipe for disaster. All over the world, they are trying to hold sports but struggle to properly contain the smaller scaled events. Yet they want us to believe they can adequately control something as large as the Olympics? There isn't a bigger event.

Only bad luck is to the other Japanese players that all had to withdraw because of him. He probably went out gambling again and got the virus.

Thailand is in the midst of a growing resurgence of the virus, partial lockdowns in parts if not all the country and further restrictions imminent as well as very strict quarantine entry rules in designated hotels. Are they waiving all that for entrants to the competition? Similar plans for the Olympics i think I have read.

Agreed. This is no time for the Olympics and people who support them -Koike, Mori, Suga-look bad. History will not be kind to them.

This example is the reality for all people around the world, I hope the IOC will do what is right & SOON!
That said I feel for this guy, clearly he has had to battle both physically & mentally to get back in top form.....
I imagine a TON of athletes worldwide are now & have been on an emotional rollercoaster, being excited for the games but also feeling down, maybe even guilty that the games are still being pushed etc.
What a mess!

The olympics will be a great success. Or, maybe not.
