Those athletes who had their samples tampered with, did they know?

Did some of them have their sample tampered without them being aware of it?

If so they should be given a another chance.. If not - ban them permanently.

The Russian organizations should be dealt with the harshest.

For future games, allow the Russian athletes to undergo testing by an IOC established centerto allow themselves to compete without a cloud over their heads.

The Olympic Committee should go for Zero Tolerance! we have that in the US Navy. If you pop positive for drugs, you are out without an Honorable Discharge. No second chance. For an individual, ban for life. If a county is supporting their drug use, the whole country's team should be banned from the next Olympic cycle.

Too bad that clean Russian athletes are caught in the crossfire of international tit for tats. the tainted testing was done on such a large scale it impossible to know which athletes were clean.. You can thank all the dopers that got cuaght for ruining it for the rest. The West arent the ones who you should be pointing the finger at, it the large scale backing of Russian doping programme that should be criticized. After all if your country and athletes are so superior then drug cheating wouldn't be needed. Very similar to what east Germany went through, once again under the control of the Soviets at the time.

Amazing that so called 'clean athletes' from the west were still much, much better than thousands of heavily doped Russians! Or not.

Might be easier naming the ones that are clean, if there are any.

That would be wonderful, fair and square approach. The problem is that such approach is not welcomed by WADA, several countries get special, very generous treatment there, while others are subjects of witchhunt. Here are details:
