Well done Murray, great result to end the season as World No. 1.

Tennis commentator David Law said before the match that he hadn't spoken to anyone that thought Murray would win (due I assume to the contrasting preparations of the two players in the lead-up matches, which I also worried about). Well done to Murray for pulling this off, but it doesn't sound like Djokovic put in a pristine performance this time. Hopefully we'll see some almighty battles in 2017.

Wow, so even thought Murray should have been tired, he can pull it off unlike others who are excused for being tired. Proof of real talent vs trumped up talent and entitlement. Good job, Murray!

i think you are pointing to Kei Nishikori (!)

It's interesting that such a classless comment by smithinjapan, about a match that has nothing to do with the player he loves to bash, garnered 3 votes of support. The Nishikori bashers are out in force today!

Top 8 player 3 years running? "Trumped up talent"! LOL!

@fxgai - Forget about it. Haters will hate. I for one, enjoy reading your comments on the sport. Keep it up ! Top ten three years running ? A major accomplishment in my book ! Some people really need to get a life !

Just noticed, Raonić is number three! Good to see someoe different, but he does tend to remind me of Pete Sampras - gets the ball over the net but without much style.
