All right! Congrats! Japan. Very glad to hear that.

U.S. will get them back during the Olympics.

Very well played game. Both teams didn't let up on defense and it was hard for either team to get good looks. In the end, one team capitalized.

nicely done!

"U.S. will get them back during the Olympics."

mmmm..... .....nah.

Good game. The Japan gals should now be ranked No. 1 in women's soccer.

By the way, have you noticed that the Nadeshiko players are better at kicking from the corner than the national men's team? Perhaps they should join the men's team and do their corner kicking for them. The men's corner kicks either come in too low or miss their target completely. The women seem to always get their kicks into the middle of the action in front of the goal ... where the ball should go.

^^ haha, yeah. Aya Miyama is particularly good at kicking accuracy. Although in this game she wasn't as on top of that as she usually is, good captaining though.

Grudge match! Well done, Japan. Does this mean both the US and Japan go to the Olympics?

Japan put away one of the few real chances it had; that's football for ya (like USA beating Italy 1-0). Gotta take advantage of your chances.

Nessie, they both already qualified for the Olympics by winning their respective confed qualifying tournaments.
