To do otherwise would be hysteria. Japan is another country in another continent.

As people like to point out (and I am but one among many), the only terrorist attacks in Japan have been carried out by Japanese people.

Is there any reason to think otherwise?

It's no good panicking about copycats, then again it was a bit stupid to mention the online magazine 'Inspire' and their pressure cooker bomb instructions, in another article. I wonder how many flags are going up, as netizens look up these details ?

If we stopped doing something we loved every time some kind of bad event happened, a day would come that we would do nothing out of fear that something bad will happen again.

Good on Nagano's marathon organizers!

Nagano....not huge risk of anything hppening there....I am a bit more worried about the London marathon coming up this week though.

Really? Can they afford to take such a massive security risk for a silly sports event? i think this should be cancelled until the causes and perpetrators of the Boston atrocity are identified and brought to book.

There is always the risk of something going south. It doesn't mean we have to stop living because of it. Tragedies like the Boston bombing that make us appreciate the life we always take for granted. YOLO, if running is your thing, go for it!!

London also going ahead. Distance runners standing up to terror!!!

Until some international group claims responsibility, you have to assume this is just a nut acting on his own - like the bomber at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. You have to keep living your lives as normally as possible or the terrorists - international or lone wingnut - win.
