I am glad the Nationals won . . . they even have a team member with Japanese name!

Congrats, Nats, and Nats fans. It was hard-earned but honest.
Celebrate.
The Curse is officially, undeniably, completely exorcised.
The 2019 Nationals are possibly the most clutch team in the history of baseball. What a team!

Well, we know who's not gonna be at the Washington DC championship parade..................
Believe it or not, it's the first time in World Series history that 2 Cy Young winners have faced off in Game 7 (Scherzer, Greinke)
Obviously first time in World Series history when the home team didn't win a single game (home-field advantage, what's that?)
Houston Astros went 60 wins against only 21 losses at home (by far best in the regular season) and couldn't win a single WS home game in 4 attempts. Only time they lost 4 straight home games all year
Washington Nationals finish with 8 straight road playoff wins (tying the 1996 NY Yankees for the most in a single post-season), but they're the first team to win 3 winner-take-all games in a single post-season
And to think, at the end of May, the Nationals were 12 games under .500 (19 wins, 31 losses) in their first 50 games. As they say with the season: it's a marathon, not a sprint
That will be a very interesting spring training camp next year

At that point of the season, the Nats were calculated to have a less than 0.1% chance of winning the World Series

Losing Harper was addition by subtraction it seems. Home team was 0-7. Good job, Nationals.

Also all MLB post-season records: the Nats faced 5 elimination games (i.e. games that if they lose, they're out of the playoffs), trailed in each one, and coming back from behind and winning all of 'em, obviously going 5-and-0

On the other side of it, (like the great Atlanta Braves of the 1990s) the Astros had an exemplary 3-year run with 336 wins (regular seasons and playoffs) - the most ever in MLB history - but only 1 championship to show for it

Let the riots begin!
