A video review by referee Jeff Triplette determined that Griffin lost control of the ball diving over the pylon and the play was ruled a touchback.

The call incensed veteran Redskins receiver Santana Moss so much that he bumped an official while arguing and was ejected. Instead of a 10-point lead, the Redskins led 10-7.

The official review got it correct. Griffin lost control BEFORE the ball went over the pylon. This means that as the ball crossed the plane of the goal line, it was a loose ball in the endzone. Had Griffin maintained control to that point, everything that happened afterwards when he hit the ground would have been moot. He didn't though, so then he had to regain control while still in the end zone. He didn't do that and instead fell out of bounds.

I'm disappointed in Santana Moss. He's a veteran wide receiver who knows the rules regarding what is and isn't a touchdown as well as anyone, yet he pulls this stunt. That said, Moss didn't bump anybody. He was flagged for pointing his finger in the face of the referee, as well as two separate bouts of profanity aimed at the referee and another official. That kind of childish behavior will draw unsportsmanlike flags every time.

Now all the Cowboys have to do is reconcile how they could have lost to such a bad Redskins team this year. ;-P
