If a united Korea can't happen, then formal cessation of war (as opposed to the current truce), with trade and open borders is the next best thing. It looks like even NK doesn't believe it can take on the entire world, and knows its own slow decline in the past few decades was leading to demise. Kim Jong Un knows this, despite the lunatic charade.

Even if they collected the best players from the both teams, no match for Japan.

Very symbolic, but don’t be fooled by fairly meaningless gestures like these like so many useful idiots were during the Olympics this year. All that matters is NK’s complete denuclearization. Anything less will mean the end of NK

Point. Missed.

Yeah you were arguing the Pyeongchang Winter games would be remembered as a farce because of similar gestures of peace with ice hockey. The truth is rather different isn't it? It's turning out to be the prelude to a seismic shift in the peace process in the Korean peninsula. Where's that Korean war you were predicting?

We've all seen this silliness before, nothing concrete has been agreed yet on North Korea's nuclear program yet some seem to think that eternal peace is achieved in the Koreas.
Until all North Korean nukes are removed and destroyed and the nuclear program is permanently dismantled, and peace is agreed and demilitarization occurs on the Korean border, this is all a facade and once again a strategic diplomatic play by North Korea to get some aid.
Remember, the main issue here is North Korea's denuclearization. They didn't even have nukes until a few years ago, so this is an entirely North Korean created issue. They engineered a crisis and are now working to resolve this crisis they themselves created.

Nope, there has been no peace yet has there? In fact nothing so far has changed since then besides the fact that NK has likely built up another few dozen nukes and hidden them in caves. The only progress we have seen is the removal of border speakers and Kim Jong Un and Moon hugging and holding hands to make the most unattractive couple in history.
Nothing has happened yet so am unsure why you think this is a seismic shift? I will gladly eat my words if NK goes on to destroy all their nukes, destroys their entire nuclear weapon making capacity, submit to extremely intrusive inspections, agrees to a peace treaty with SK, opens up the borders with the South, and demilitarizes the border and agree to arms reductions.
Until that happens, then yes, this is all a farce that only a useful idiot would fall for

No peace? Then has there been war? Not quite the all out war with massive casualties you were hoping for is it?
This is what you were saying about the prospect of war just months ago. But you're now worried about a mismatched couple shaking hands?
