NHK is only one broadcaster in Japan. Japanese government owns. Probably only bright news in Japan now.

Physically he will be taken care of in America. If he stayed in Japan, they would break his body and will.

Tomorrow, he will be a starting pitcher in windy and snowing Kansas City, but if weather is bad, the game may be canceled.

Of course it's a big hit, this is the land of bandwagon fans. Half the people I know that can't stop talking about Ohtani don't know a thing about baseball, same as they didn't know a thing about tennis when they were talking about Nishikori non-stop a few years back, and Ishikawa Ryu before him.

This comments are so bitter. What'a up, can't handle Japanese people being successful overseas? The kid is doing great so far, it's gonna be near impossible to keep those numbers up but he already proved himself to be future Hall of Fame material. Go Ohtani!

after 2 weeks of games?
Oh, dear.....

I've been really wanting to see him pitch but it always seems to fall on Sundays which are usually day games. That means it comes on between 3 to 5am Monday morning in Japan depending where they play.

@DaDude: In USA where I live, there are Angel channel and Diamoondback Channel but until recently, games were explained in Spanish. FOX were using automatic robot Translator.

@carol: Let not treat him as if he is a 38 years old retiree. He just moved to Sunny Orange County from Japan. We don't know if he went Disneyland yet.
