No one is laughing at your joke!

If you really understand it, why ask the following question?
The average NBA salary is something like $8 Million or so per year, so what do you think the "best of the best" are worth salary wise? If you cut the top, the bottom will drop too!
Dont hear about people complaining or being surprised when some CEO, who just sits on their butt all day, gets compensation 10 times more than Curry. It's the business of the game, corporations pay for talent, so do sports teams, and sports teams today, at least the "major" sports in the US, are 99% run by individuals or groups, looking to win and make money. The only exception is the NFL's Green Bay Packer's, who are a publicly traded team, and even they pay their QB over $40 Mill a year.

US dollars too. Thats about 4.5 Billion Yen! I wonder what he spends his money on. He doesn't come across as a big spender on bling. Drives a Tesla apparently.

@fighto private doctor?, nurses? nutritionist? What is he? A geriatric? A lot of what you mention is provided by the team.
unless you mean US doctors aren’t good enough so he has to hire Japanese which is just nonsense
its insane money but that is the world of pro sports. When Ohtani becomes an FA it will probably double.

I could field a team from Cuba ,for this price, and win a championship,I am fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Lakers, sport Dynasties

Yeah. Just wait till his free agent contract. That’s gonna be wild. Judge’s contract will be influential as well

Pitcher Ohtani has suffered unnecessary losses due to the weak defense and follow-ups after his exit. He could have accomplished more than 20 wins for a season.
Meanwhile I personally like him wearing Halos' uniforms. They suit him well.

id flee this sinking ship.
Angels are him and Trout, and Trout's health is always an issue.

Last roll of the dice for the Angels. Bring me the cast to win a ring or I’m off. Fair. Generational player.
@Yrral. No. You’re not even that good, and clearly not a fan of sport.
@Hakman: It’s a bargain. Next year, much different numbers beckon.
Fighto!
Sure sounds a lot. But remember he has to pay taxes, and for his own private doctor, nurses, nutritionists and physio etc.
Fighto!
Awesome! Go get em Shohei! Cement your place as the baseball GOAT!!

2022 has been a pretty awful year all around, but watching Ohtani do so well again was nice to see, even though I’m not an Angels fan. Hope he has another great season in 2023.

They can give me the money, giving it to him,the same results ,a lost cause

Curry gets over $48,000,000 per year, (NBA)and by comparison. It's a game to you but a job to them.
wtfjapan
hes needs to move to a team that can win a world series, he doesnt want to become another Ichiro
Meiyouwenti
That’s about 4.3 billion yen at the current exchange rate. Is anyone in the world worth that much money?
Nemo
And he's still under paid.
David Brent
How much do the agents back in Japan still get off the back of Ohtani?
