A real pity he did not 10 wins from the mound - he got the Angels in winning positions when pitching many times, only for the relievers then to come on and screw it up.

Winning 9 games for the Angels is about like winning 15 with a decent team behind you. He’s had an amazing season, I’m just sad we’ll have to wait until next spring to see more.

What I really worry about is he is under contract for 2 more years with the Angels. They aren't getting any better and he will be mired in mediocrity for two more years and possibly breakdown before he can hit free agency and really cash in. His talent, like Mike Trout is being wasted in Anaheim.

Ohtani didn't say "his top priority is winning. " It was a wrong translation. He said "I like to win."
He always says that his top priority is finishing the season healthy.
