Ohtani is the real deal!

I am a fan of baseball. I consider myself lucky to have seen many of the greats of the sport, and included in that list is Mr. Ohtani. Best of luck to him, and to the Angels. I can attest that when he stepped onto the field, I got the feeling that I was watching a truly great player.
An anecdote: a couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to see both Ohtani and Ryu play in the Freeway Series, at Angel Stadium. Although the Dodgers won instead of the Angels, the fans were very happy. It is a funny thing about living in the Southland, that we are big fans of both the Dodgers and the Angels. It is like having two home teams, instead of just one.

The undenyingly great Ohtani Shohei might be a once in a generation player. At this point he seems to be overshadowing Mike Trout, seen by many as a once in a generation player. Hopefully next year Trout will be healthy throughout the season, as will Ohtani-san, and we will see which is truly once in a generation great.
