Ohtani is so close to joining the 40 / 40 Club. Only 5 MLB players have done it. Ohtani has 39 home runs and 37 stolen bases at the moment. What would be really great is if Ohtani could reach over 40 home runs and over 50 stolen bases in one season. That would be a title he alone would hold. However, he'd really need to go on a stolen base spree (13 more stolen bases) between now and the end of September to do it. It would be nice, but it's a real long shot with the amount of time remaining.

Nice sentiment, stormcrow, but Ronald Acuna had 41 home runs and 73 stolen bases last season.

That’s incredible, isn’t it? That’s one very busy ball player.

Acuna really had a career year last season. Too bad he had a season ending injury the first month this year. Ohtani could be the first 45-45 guy.
