Free climbing people do the best in the Ninja Warrior competitions. They are tailored for lighter people with upper body strength and very strong fingers. I liked to watch while enjoying a bowl of ice cream. Haven't watched in a few years, so I really don't know the current courses.

The female versions of the course seemed to be about balance an agility, less upper body strength, though free climbers and professional parkour athletes did the best, I vaguely recall. In the US, there are Ninja Warrior gyms in every sizeable metro are. Some have 10 gyms, if there are stars from the national competitions there trying to make a living.

Some other team compeitions tried to make it as TV shows. Spartan competitions was more about getting your team through the course with more strength necessary, but lots more mud involved. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartan_Race Not my thing, but I suppose they can be fun to watch and train to compete for people who need to switch up their exercise routines to avoid plateaus.
